2006-12-04 [muffin_killer]: of course!
2006-12-04 [Zardra]: Yay ^_^ I put it up, thank you! =)
2007-04-25 [The Dizzy Raven]: This art contest sounds like fun!
2007-04-26 [kay-chan]: Since [muffin_killer], the one who runs it, hasn't signed on in over 80 days... I doubt this contest will go anywhere. ;_______; Sad but true.
2007-04-26 [The Dizzy Raven]: aww. that stinks. ><
2007-04-26 [Mom]: Maybe I will look around and see if I can find another sponsor if we get any more entries. I would myself but I would really like to enter. (I love the movie and the book)
2007-04-26 [The Dizzy Raven]: That's a good idea
A new sponsor would be cool.
I love the movie! I never read the book though. I was told that there's a sequel to the book.
2007-04-26 [kay-chan]: Yeah, on behalf of mk I give anybody who wants to power to take over this contest. :D
2008-04-19 [dew_farie]: is the contest still looking for a sponser? If so I wouldnt mind doing it. I actually wore out my dvd watching this movie, it is one of my all time favorites.
2008-04-19 [The Dizzy Raven]: yeah, it's still looking for a sponsor, but its been very quiet here for months. maybe a year
2008-04-19 [dew_farie]: Well, if no one objects, I would like to try.
2008-04-19 [The Dizzy Raven]: I, of course, don't object. I would certainly love to do it myself, but I just don't have the time. I have too many things I'm involved in
2008-04-19 [dew_farie]: Well, I will give it a week, and if no one objects by next friday, I will start working on it.
2008-04-19 [The Dizzy Raven]: *nods* Wonderful idea
2008-04-19 [kay-chan]: Yeah, the original owner, [muffin_killer], hasn't been here in for-freaking-e
2008-04-20 [dew_farie]: Sweet.
2008-04-22 [Jeccabee]: OOH I love that movie! Never read the book. I might have to add this contest to my growing list of art projects!
2008-04-23 [Titanium Tiger]: oh this one look awsome!!
2008-05-06 [Elodicressida]: The book is better than the movie. Ahh, I know you love the movie, but I swear the book is better. I love that author. And the sequel is brilliance, too. (It's a sequel no matter what you say half way through)
If you do end up reading the book after watching the movie (or watching the movie after reading the book), try to keep them separate in your head. They're both really brilliant, but they have very little in common. The name, the characters' name, Sophie's curse... I suppose you could say the war, but it's hardly mentioned in the book.
And, as I said, they're both absolutely brilliant. Maybe the only reason I like the book better is because there's a sequel that way...
2008-05-08 [Estantia]: Yes, they do seemed to have moved the movie forward into the time between the book and its sequel don't they?
